Abstract

This note presents the first observation of Cimex dissimilis in the Pomeranian Lake District. This species is rarely recorded in the country and was previously known only from four zoogeographic regions. It is primarily associated with bats as its food source. It has been found in the nests of bats Nyctalus noctula, Myotis myotis, and Myotis nattereri, as well as in the nests of birds from the Passeriformes and rodents like Apodemus flavicollis.
