Abstract
Acanthaspis Amyot & Serville, 1843 is a species-rich genus in the subfamily Reduviinae; however, only a few species of the genus have been recorded so far from Pakistan. Herein, we report A. cincticrus Stål, 1859 commonly known as the ant-feeding assassin bug, for the first time from Pakistan. This species is redescribed along with details of morphometrics and illustrations of important diagnostic morphological features.
