Abstract
This note presents the first observation of Odontoplatys bidentulus in the Western Beskidy Mountains. O. bidentulus is a montane species distributed in the Carpathians and the mountains of the Balkan Peninsula. O. bidentulus lives on trees and herbaceous plants but its devel-opment is exclusively associated with Aruncus vulgaris. Additional information about the distribution of this species in Europe is also provided.
